This article covers the two step process of placing students into jobs (with or without Job Descriptions and Student Placement Assessments). In a perfect world, every Job Description and SPA would be returned in time for Job Placement over your summer break. However, ours is far from perfect! The following sections summarize how to navigate Work Studyforce to successfully place every student in their job.
How to Place Jobs
Step 1: Ensure all Jobs are in WSF
- This step is for creating jobs that have not returned a Job Description through Work Studyforce. To follow along with a help video, click here!
- IMPORTANT - Before starting, be sure your FTE levels are accurate and that your term start and end date is correct. This will ensure jobs are mass created with the right data.
- Navigate to CWSP Setup from the app picker, through your toolbar, then click Mass Job Creator:
- This screen will list out all opportunities from your current school year starting with Closed Won. You can scroll down to opportunities in other stages, however it's recommended to only create and place jobs for those that have finalized contracts.
- In the Job Action Needed column the following symbols may appear. Refer to other columns in the list view for a breakdown of stage, jobs created, and FTE breakdowns:
Job Placements Match Opportunity
- (all Job Descriptions and/or job creations are set)
Placements Lower than Opportunity : [X] Needed
- (the partner has some jobs created, but requires X more)
Placements Higher than Opportunity: [X] Over
- (more jobs were created than originally set in the opportunity)
- NOTE: If job descriptions are returned from partners, lines in this list view will return with a green check or plus symbol. If too many JDs were returned, the red triangle symbol will indicate a review of partner job records are needed.
- Navigate to CWSP Setup from the app picker, through your toolbar, then click Mass Job Creator:
- Start Creating Jobs
- Click next to the top name to select all, click through all partners with a plus symbol, or a set of clicks to fit your job creation needs:
- Once all partners needing additional jobs created are selected, click Quick Create Jobs:
- Click Finish! Jobs will be created up to FTE levels specified in the opportunity including start and end dates.
