Excluding Alum Experiences

Though rare, it may sometimes be necessary to exclude an alum experience from a student's history if it contains incorrect information.

Navigate to the Student's Contact Record

  • Go to the Contact tab in Salesforce or search for and open the alum’s contact page (e.g., Ulrich Kosta).



Access Alum Experiences

  • Open the alum experiences tab on the contact page

  • Locate the incorrect university experience record



Select the Incorrect Alum Experience and Click Exclude Alum Experience

  • Click on the alum experience record you want to exclude.

  • At the top of the record, click the "Exclude Alum Experience" quick action button.



Confirm and Provide Reason

  • In the pop-up, select "Yes" to confirm exclusion.

  • Enter a reason in the comment field (e.g., "Student did not attend this college; incorrect NSC record.").


Once these steps are complete, the alum experience will not be included in a student's enrollment history, any reporting, or total enrollment numbers for a college or university.
